Import Guide

QuantalCount has two file uploads, and both work the same way: an admin sets up a template once, and after that people just upload files.

Upload	Template lives in	Who uploads	What it does
Product catalog	Settings → Import Templates → Product catalog	Admin, on the Products page	Replaces your whole product list
Baseline (stock on hand)	Settings → Import Templates → Baseline	Supervisor, in the job's Baseline panel	Replaces the job's book quantities

Things worth knowing:

• Templates are frozen into each upload. If you edit a template later, uploads already in progress keep using the old version. No surprises.
• Codes are cleaned up before matching — trimmed, uppercased, leading zeros dropped. Details in Code cleanup & fixes.
• Matching follows an order you choose — try barcode first, then SKU, then external ID, or any order of the three.
